Founded in 1958, Aspen Highlands is part of the four-resort network that makes skiing in the Aspen area so diverse. Sitting adjacent to the Aspen Mountain Ski Area, Aspen Highlands provides more skiing diversity within its boundaries. With 18% beginner terrain and 30% intermediate terrain, Highlands provides less experienced skiers and boarders with a chance to develop their skills and push themselves as they improve.
Advanced skiers and riders aren’t left out of the mix either at Highlands. With 52% expert terrain, there are plenty of big time steeps and bumps to satisfy their needs as well. Don’t miss the new Highlands Bowl, where you can spend the day hiking and skiing some of central Colorado’s best open bowl skiing. When the sun is shining and the snow is soft, Highlands Bowl is an experience you shouldn’t miss.
Aspen Highlands has 131 runs spread over 790 acres, and its 3635 feet of vertical rise are served by 3 high-speed quadruple chairlifts and 1 fixed-grip triple chair. Combine these with over 300 inches of annual snowfall, and Highlands is a skier’s paradise.
